How to use the noise remover

  2. Reduce the noiseThe Noise reduction window opens. Move the slider and listen live. For best results, first select 1–2 seconds of only noise and press "Learn noise".
  3. Try Clean voice (AI)For barking, traffic or keyboard sounds, use Effects → Clean voice (AI).

Effects → Remove hum & rumble fixes electric buzz from fans and wiring.

Which noise remover should you use?

Not all noise is the same, so Echoly has three tools for it. Picking the right one gives a much cleaner result than pushing one slider to the maximum.

Steady noise: fan, cooler, AC, hiss

Use Noise reduction. For the best result, first select one or two seconds where nobody is speaking and only the noise is heard, then press "Learn noise". Echoly studies that sound and removes it from the whole file. Move the strength slider and listen live; 40–60 % usually removes most of the noise while keeping the voice natural.

Electric buzz and rumble

A low hum from wiring, a tube light or a fan regulator is removed by Remove hum & rumble, which filters the 50 Hz mains tone and its overtones together with very low rumble.

Changing background sounds

Dogs barking, traffic, keyboard clicks or people talking in the background change all the time, so they cannot be learned. Clean voice (AI) uses a small speech model running in your browser to keep the voice and push everything else down.

Do it all in one window

Quick Polish combines noise removal, a clearer voice, optional echo and the right loudness, which is often all a recording needs before sharing.

Questions about the noise remover

Can it remove all noise completely?

It can remove most of it. Very loud noise, or noise at the same level as the voice, cannot be removed without affecting the voice too.

Why does my voice sound robotic after cleaning?

The strength is too high. Lower the slider until the voice sounds natural; a little leftover noise is better than a damaged voice.

Is my recording uploaded to an AI server?

No. Even Clean voice (AI) runs inside your browser.

Should I remove noise before or after cutting?

Either works. Removing noise first makes the quiet parts easier to see on the waveform.
