How to use the pitch changer
- Open your audioPress "Open audio file".
- Move the pitch slider1 step = one harmonium key. Listen live while you move it.
- Apply and savePress Apply, then Export.
Up to 3 steps up or down sounds most natural.
Shift a song or voice into a comfortable key
Every singer has a comfortable range. If a song is too high or too low for you, shift its pitch until it fits your voice, without changing its speed. Echoly measures the change in semitones, the same steps as the keys on a harmonium or piano.
How many steps to move?
One step is one key on the harmonium, so moving up 2 steps turns Sa into Re. Up to 3 steps up or down sounds most natural; beyond that, voices start to sound unnatural, which can be fun for effects but not for practice tracks.
Practice with a karaoke track
Combine the Pitch changer with the Vocal remover: remove the singer, then shift the music to your key and sing along. Use the Voice Studio afterwards to add echo to your own recording.
Listen while you choose
The pitch changes live while you move the slider, so you can sing along and stop at the step that feels right.

Questions about the pitch changer
Does changing pitch change the speed?
No. The length and tempo stay the same.
What does one semitone sound like?
The difference between two neighbouring keys on a harmonium, including the black keys.
Can I change only one part?
Yes. Select that part first.
Will the quality drop?
Small shifts sound very natural. Large shifts (more than 5 steps) can make voices sound artificial.
