Echoly (echoly.in) is a free online audio editor run by Ratnesh Brajpuriya, India. This page explains what happens to your information when you use it. Questions: contact@echoly.in.

Your audio files stay on your device

When you open, record, edit or export audio, all the work happens inside your own browser. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see or listen to them.

What is stored on your device

• Auto-save: your last piece of work is kept in your browser (IndexedDB) so you can continue after closing the page. Press "No thanks" on the restore message, or clear your browser's site data, to delete it.
• Small settings: things like how many times tips have been shown or your preferred note names are kept in your browser's local storage.

This information stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Services that load parts of the page

• Hosting: the site is served by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operation.
• Fonts: some fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
• Code libraries: the MP3 encoder (lamejs) and the voice-cleaning model (RNNoise) are loaded from the jsDelivr network when you use those features.

These providers may receive your IP address and browser details when your browser contacts them, under their own privacy policies.

Advertising

Echoly is free because we may show ads. When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more at www.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (for example Google Analytics) to count visits and see which tools are used. This uses cookies or similar technology and does not include your audio. If we add it, this page will say so.

Children

Echoly is a general tool and is not directed at children. Children should use it with a parent or guardian.

Emails you send us

If you write to contact@echoly.in, we use your email address and message only to reply, and do not share them.

Your choices and rights

You can clear everything Echoly stored on your device from your browser settings at any time. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@echoly.in.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The date at the top shows the latest version.
